WALT: In what ways did the development of Whitechapel in the period of the 19th century make it an ideal hunting ground for a mass murderer by 1888?

2. Stand and Share
3. With a new partner from a different table log on to this page and list of the geographical, social and economic conditions in Whitechapel in the 1880's using all the links left
4. Table Share your lists
5. Promenade your face partner and discuss why Jack the Ripper chose Whitechapel as the location for his crimes
6. Plenary : Paraphrase passport today's WALT

WALT: How did the geographical,social and economic nature of Whitechapel hamper the police investigation?
WILFs: Can list reasons why the police found the investigation difficult (D).... can describe and explain police diffciculties in relation to the site of the murders (B) .... can assess how important police difficulties and weaknesses were as a factor in explaining the site of the murders (A)
