T his lesson is designed to make students assess whether Emily Wilding Davison intended to commit suicide or whether her actions at the Derby in 1913 were just the result a protest that went wrong.
The lesson is in three stages.
The starter is a 6 minute interactive exercise which will remind you what happened to Emily Wilding Davison.
You will then investigate a range of sources including film, pictures, and documents and record evidence of whether or not she intended to commit suicide.
The final stage of the lesson is to present your conclusions in Word backed up with evidence gathered from the sources.
