Starter: Connect the learning:Jot thoughts in mixed groups of 3 what you know about today's WALT. Aim to cover the table with post its

1. Pair up in mixed gender groups. Use the Starter Sheets on Hitler's ideas and your textbooks. Try and work out the 9 statements on the sheets which were things Hitler actually believed in and write them in the spaces

Now promenade a different partner - which of Hitler's ideas were most attractive and which least attractive - explain

3.  You will now be given a coloured piece of card. If you have a yellow card you take an IPDAD log on to this page and watch the 2 youtube clips embedded here. Your task is to list and describe as many causes of Hitler's rise to power as you can. Precis them so they fit on the card.

4. When time is called pair up with someone with a different coloured card. Promenade and discuss what you have found out and try to come to a consensus what best explains why Hitler became Chancellor in 1933

6. Swap partners log on to a computer or laptop and complete a Diamond 9 diagram on causes

8. Promenade your face partner - how important was the Wall Street Crash in Hitler's rise? Be prepared to answer either 'Very' 'Quite' or 'Not very' important with support
