Starter: Roaming Revision

1. Explain why the Nazi government made a Concordat with the Catholic Church in July 1933
2. Explain why Hitler introduced the Enabling Law in March 1933
3. Explain why the invasion of the USSR changed the lives of those living in Germany in the years 1941 and 1942
4. Explain why Hitler replaced the trade unions with the German Labour Front
5. Explain why Hitler targeted the SA in the Night of the Long Knives

2. Study the PPT on paper 2 and then Sit in two small groups and Rally Robin the sources questions from this paper then spend 10 mins individual time writing an answer

3. Swap your answer with your revision twin and give them a www (what went well) and and ebi (even better if)


4. Pair Up and Pair Share these questions:
 
a) How and why did opposition to the Nazis grow after 1941?
b) How far was Germany a 'police state' by 1934?
c) How did Hitler manage to go from Chancellor to Fuhrer in a few short steps?
d) Nazi religious policy was a failure - do you agree with this statement
