Weblogs supplied by the providers of our extranet facilities offer simple and secure discussion boards for students to engage in debate or discussion at the end of a topic. The example below followed a series of lessons on the chararacter and reputation of Oliver Cromwell.
 
Strengths: Security - only members of the College community can post in these boards
Safety - no personal pupil personal details are retrievable from casual users of the internet.
Revision - the pupils can use the final board as a revision tool or essay resources.
 
Weaknesses : Functionality - there is very limited functionality on these boards. Pupils are not able to communicate directly with each other or teachers and pupils in other schools.
